HEADLINE: Officials Release Bomb's Return Address

DATELINE: SAN FRANCISCO

BODY:

The mail bomb that killed an advertising executive carried a return address for "H.C. Wickel," authorities said, as the FBI's UNABOM Task Force sought the public's help in tracing the name.

The typed return label said Wickel was from the Department of Economics at San Francisco State University. But no one by that name has ever taught or enrolled at the school, said Daniel Hagberg, chief postal inspector in San Francisco.

Authorities say a serial bomber they have nicknamed UNABOM is believed to have sent the device to the suburban New Jersey home of Thomas J. Mosser. The New York City advertising executive was killed when he opened it Saturday.

UNABOM has killed two people and injured 22 in 15 bombings since 1978, according to authorities.
